"The biggest challenge was configuring the space properly. Because the bathroom sits in a loft conversion, I had to work around slanted ceilings and awkward angles, which can make layouts quite tricky. I spent a lot of time thinking about how to make the room feel open and easy to move around in, while still fitting everything a family bathroom needs. It was definitely a bit of a puzzle at the start, but once the layout clicked everything else began to fall into place."

"My main goal was to create a bathroom that felt spacious and luxurious, but still practical for everyday family life. I really wanted it to feel like a calm, relaxing space rather than something purely functional. Storage was also really important to me, which is why I chose a double vanity unit. Having two basins makes such a difference in a busy household and the extra storage keeps everything feeling tidy and uncluttered. It’s one of those things that makes daily routines run so much more smoothly."

"I naturally lean towards quite minimal, timeless interiors, so I wanted the bathroom to feel calm and refined rather than overly busy. I was really drawn to the warmth of brass finishes and used that as a thread throughout the space to add a bit of character and elegance.

When I came across the Walcot collection from Roper Rhodes it felt like the perfect fit. It has that beautiful traditional influence, but it’s still very sleek and contemporary, which suits my style perfectly.

I also knew I wanted the floor to be a bit of a feature. I love tiles with borders and patterns, so I designed a floor that adds interest while keeping the rest of the bathroom quite pared back. The soft grey tones work so nicely with the light oak furniture and help the whole space feel balanced and calming."

"It’s very hard to pick just one thing because I genuinely love the whole space, but the biggest feature has to be the Walcot double vanity unit. I chose it in light oak with the Bianco marble countertop and it really anchors the room beautifully. It’s such a statement piece but also incredibly practical. The double basins make it ideal for a family bathroom and the storage is brilliant.
