Furniture

All Roper Rhodes furniture is tested to levels of extensive use, so you can be confident regardless of whether your bathroom is a family hub or spa-like oasis.

Hinges & Runners

This test involves repeated fully extended opening of the hinge through 80,000 cycles and 50,000 runner cycles.

Paint Adhesion & Hardness

Adhesion and hardness are tested until failure to the International Organization for Standardization standards

Wall Hanging Brackets

Our wall hanging brackets are rated to take 50-65kgs of weight, but are over-loaded and tested up to 200-260kgs through a hydraulic ram.

Corrosion Test

Our knobs and handles are put through an accelerated corrosion test that produces a corrosive attack to a plated surface to evaluate suitability of the coating.

Brassware

Our brassware doesn't just look beautiful; every tap and shower we design is manufactured to the strictest British and international standards, ensuring exceptional water control, safety, and longevity.

Pressure Tested

All brassware is pressure tested to 10bar in accordance with BS EN 200: 2008

Endurance Testing

All our handles and valves are tested up to 100,000 cycles

Corrosion Test

Chrome plating and salt spray testing is to ISO standards, as stated in EN 248:2002, plus coating thickness tests on chrome plating.

Temperature Control

Temperature stability when the inlet pressure drops (i.e., when the cold water is turned off) matches BS EN 1111 & 1287 to prevent scalding.

Sanitaryware & Ceramics

Our sanitaryware is designed to seamlessly complement our furniture ranges while setting the benchmark for quality, hygiene, and performance. Every basin, WC and cistern undergoes an extensive testing regime to make it suitable for all bathrooms and layouts, from a busy family space to an en-suite.

Flush Volume

The measured discharge on no occasion should exceed 6L. Reduced flush shall not exceed 2/3 of the full flush volume.

Seat Drop Test

Our WCs are tested by dropping a load of 75kg freely from a height of 30mm, repeated for 15,000 test cycles to test durability.

Maximum Performance

Tested in accordance with British & European standards, meaning our cisterns have passed a 200,000 cycle endurance test.

Wall Hung Pans

Load testing of Wall Hung Pans to 400kg.

Mirrors, Cabinets & Lighting

Our illuminated mirrors and cabinets seamlessly blend advanced technology with daily function. To ensure perfect performance every element of our mirrors, cabinets and lighting are extensively tested, including water resistance and controls.

Control Reliability

Testing the reliability and repeatability of the switching interface through 100,000 cycles.

Impact Test

Testing the resistance to a point load impact by applying excessive force with a screwdriver and hammer.

Shelf Weight

Shelves are tested to hold at least 10kg for an hour (glass) or a week (timber).
