Tasked with transforming a restricted floor plan into a sanctuary of style, Matilda sought to blend modern functionality with Victorian charm. The primary challenge was maximizing a small footprint without sacrificing the "boutique hotel" feel. With our guidance, Matilda created a beautiful, calm, character-filled bathroom to enjoy for years to come.
Seeking to replace a dated, neutral space with one that felt authentically 'her,' Matilda set out to inject life and color into a room that had long been in need of a refresh.
By embracing rich hues and classic silhouettes, Matilda has transformed a once-tired room into a playful, timeless sanctuary. The new design leans into the heritage style she loves, proving that even the most compact bathroom can make a bold statement when character and color are given center stage.

"Our biggest challenge with the old bathroom was the size of the room and outdated feel. With our bathroom being on the smaller size we knew we needed to work with the space we had to create the best, and most practical outcome, whilst adding our personalities into the design."
What was your main goal for the renovation?
@hiimatildashome
Our biggest goal was to give the bathroom that feeling of luxury and to bring back the more traditional, timeless pieces.
"We knew we wanted the style to be in keeping with our Victorian house. So we focused on the items that were classic Victorian style. Like the Harrow Square Pedestal Basin & the beautiful Harrow Low Level Toilet. As well as focusing on the smaller, but just as important details such as the beautiful Brushed Brass Flush Handle, and the Avening Robe Hook which although both small details, they really bring the room together. We also opted for Roper Rhodes' sister brand, R2 Bathrooms, Halcyon Taps & Shower as we felt they matched our vision perfectly."
