This en-suite renovation with Gemma from @homeonthesouthcoast was designed as part of a brand-new extension, creating a seamless flow from bedroom to dressing room and into a calming, luxurious bathroom. With no existing layout to work around, the focus was on crafting a cohesive, retreat-like space. Gemma stepped outside her comfort zone, pairing bold striped tiles with warm brass fittings, balanced by natural flooring and a neutral double vanity for a timeless feel. The standout double shower and double sink add both everyday practicality and a sense of indulgence, elevating the space into something truly special.
The inspiration behind this design was to create a space that feels truly luxurious - somewhere calm, relaxing, and a little like a private retreat. Stepping outside of her comfort zone, Gemma embraced a more confident style, combining bold striped tiles with warm brass fittings for a striking focal point. These stronger elements are balanced with natural flooring and a neutral double vanity, bringing softness and harmony to the space.

"This en-suite has been created completely from scratch as part of our new extension. We designed a full master suite that flows from our bedroom into a dressing room and then through to the en-suite, so the main goal was really about making sure the whole space worked well together."

We wanted to create a luxurious space, somewhere that feels relaxing and a bit like our own little retreat.
"I absolutely love the double Widcombe vanity and double shower, it feels so luxurious and makes the space feel really special, while also being super practical for everyday use."
