Tucked away in a historic Croft on the Scottish Islands, Amanda’s bathroom was ready for a refresh. The space had grown tired and no longer reflected the charm of its 1800s roots—or the cosy, welcoming feel she envisioned. Inspired by the character of the old cottage, Amanda set out to create a bathroom that felt serene, traditional, and full of warmth. The result? A beautifully layered space with earthy tones, brass accents, and the soft, heritage-inspired hue of sage green from our classic Hampton range. Finished with panelling and vintage artwork sourced from charity shops, Amanda’s new bathroom is now a true retreat.

With the whole house in need of renovation, we decided to prioritise the main bathroom first—it felt like a key space to help us settle into both our new home and our new surroundings."
"We live in an old Croft on the Scottish Islands, originally built in the 1800s, and that history really inspired our direction. We wanted to create a space that felt traditional and in keeping with the character of the house, but also warm, cosy, and inviting.
Earthy tones and brass finishes helped us build that atmosphere, and the new Sage Green colour in the classic Hampton range was the perfect fit. Panelling was essential to achieving that cottage feel, and we added some vintage artwork—sourced from charity shops—for a personal touch."
"It’s hard to choose a favourite part because we truly love it all—the space has been completely transformed. But if I had to pick one thing, it would be the beautiful Hampton vanity unit. I love the Sage Green colour, the classic shaker-style doors, and the gold handles and hinges. The marble worktop and upstand finish it off perfectly, especially paired with the timeless brass taps."
