In August 2024, Lucy and her family moved into their forever home. With décor that hadn’t been updated in over 20 years, the house was very much a doer-upper and ready for some much-needed love. Working closely with Lucy, we transformed her tired bathroom into a joyful, practical family space, bursting with colour and personality.

What sparked the decision to redesign this bathroom?

We moved into our new forever home in August 24'. We bought this fixer upper with the intention to completely transform it into a joyful family home as much of the decor hadn't been touched in over 20 years.

What functional issues did the original bathroom present?

The shower just wasn't usable. It was full of mould and the door has been kept shut for the last 18 months.

How did you want the space to feel when it was finished?

Completely transformed into a different space. I'm a busy mum of two and bathroom design is everything to me. It's the next best thing to a spa. It's where I shower do my daily skincare routines and take five minutes for myself.

How was storage integrated without overwhelming the space?

Under the sink storage is perfect for the ensuite. We love Roper Rhodes' storage solutions - less visual clutter and everything has a place when it comes to tidying up.

Which details make the bathroom feel considered or special?

Everything down from the taps, to the concealed toilet, to the beautiful rainfall shower. Taking an 'everything' shower for the first time in the new space with the beautiful and super powerful Roper Rhodes shower, has been my favourite part post-renovation. My hair has never looked glossier!
