Milly and Louis from @belgravevilla have taken on the incredible challenge of restoring a grand, seven-bedroom former Bishop’s residence in South Wales. With the whole house undergoing a thoughtful transformation, the bathroom is just one chapter in their ambitious renovation story. Read on to see how they turned this once-tired space into a serene and stylish sanctuary.
"We really took inspiration from the history of the house. The overall style we're hoping to achieve is a modern Victorian look, but for the attic rooms, which would have originally been the old servants' quarters, we wanted to go for a more rustic interpretation of that. Roper Rhodes' beautiful, brass faucets were the perfect traditional touch to bring that vision to life."
"We're currently renovating our entire house, and this bathroom is a really exciting part of that journey. It’s actually a brand-new ensuite. The room didn’t previously have one so we were starting completely from scratch. It's also the first bathroom we've finished in the whole project, which makes it feel even more special."
Milly & Louis have created a stunning, Victorian-inspired bathroom that exudes charm. A timeless space that they can enjoy for years to come!
"Our favourite part is definitely the Harrow bathtub. I love how it reimagines a classic roll-top design in a sleek, modern way. We positioned it opposite the fireplace which has created the most relaxing space!"
To add even more character to their bathroom, Milly and Louise upcycled an antique washstand bringing a touch of heritage into the space. Paired with our Countertop Bowl Basin and Brushed Brass Keswick Basin Mixer, the look came together effortlessly. The finishing touch? Our Frame Brushed Brass Oval Mirror, perfectly echoing the warm tones and timeless elegance of the design.
