Roper Rhodes expands into new, state-of-the-art distribution centre

Roper Rhodes expands to support continued growth plans and enhanced customer service proposition

We are proud to announce that we are moving to a brand-new, state-of-the-art distribution centre in Severn Beach, South Gloucestershire. This major milestone is a result of the company’s strong growth over the last 15 years and marks our ambitious plans for the future.

Having delivered year on year sales growth and increasing demand for Roper Rhodes products for 15 consecutive years, we have outgrown our previous facility in Portbury, a facility we relocated to in 2016 to support previous expansion. We have made the move to this larger 235,000 sq ft distribution hub with storage capacity of 44,000 pallets and pick faces for 12,000 SKUs to enhance operational efficiency and enable further extension of our product portfolio. As well as stock holding and fulfilment it will also be home to larger showroom spaces, have improved customer conference facilities and a purpose-built photographic studio.

Our new distribution centre will ensure that our extremely generous inventory strategy can be maintained and will allow us to continue to provide excellent customer service to all our customers into the future” said William Steele, Chief Operations Officer.

A long period of time was spent waiting for the right place to become available in close proximity to Portbury which would allow us to continue to retain our existing workforce”.

Work has already begun on preparing the building with plans to begin operations at the Matrix, Severn Beach in July 2026.
