Vanessa from @_myhomeinspo_ upgraded her basic beige new build bathroom, to a gorgeous, storage-filled family bathroom. By adding a freestanding bath and fitted furniture, the bathroom is now a luxurious haven for the family to enjoy.

What made you want to renovate your bathroom?

Where it all started

When we bought our current new build house the bathroom was very basic and not in keeping with the rest of the house and en-suites. It felt as though the developers had used all their budget when it came to fitting the main bathroom! There was hardly any storage and the bath was so narrow that my husband couldn’t fit inside.

Lacking Storage

"The old vanity unit was small and lacked essential storage space." Vanessa needed a practical yet stylish storage solution for their busy family bathroom.

What inspired the design of your bathroom renovation?

Exploring ideas

"I love panelling and black oak accents. This the modern organic style runs through the whole house so I wanted the bathroom to flow with the rest of the house." "I love the look of black furniture, in my opinion it gives a really high-end, luxurious feel and I think it’s a pretty timeless choice."

A freestanding bath was a must. I love how they look and they bring that real wow factor to a bathroom.

How do you feel about the final outcome?

The transformation

"The bathroom has been totally transformed from a basic new build bathroom to a fabulous luxurious sanctuary that our whole family love and enjoy. It’s such a treat to have a bubble bath in the gorgeous freestanding bath. And we have so much more storage for all our toiletries. We are so happy with the outcome."

How was the renovation process?

"The bathroom renovation was very easy as we were upgrading what we already had so we didn’t need to move any pipes or pull up any tiles. It was quite a simple job. It took four days in total."
